'The' is currently included when Albums or Artists are sorted alphabetically. It would be more intuitive if 'The' was ignored i.e. The Beatles should be 'B' and The Best of should be 'B' (not T)

What do you do with the band The The?😉

Ignore the first The and then sort by The (as the second The is The name of The 'The' band 😜 )

Ditching "The" would certainly make locating artists much easier and is a more intuitive method of finding what your looking for.
Richard
I agree totally with this.

Yes, please! Sorting artists with "The " as their first four characters is very irritating

+1. Another example is "The Rolling Stones" vs. "Rolling Stones". I am sure there are many others that fit this use-case.
ALSO, is the trailing suffix that complicates groupings. For example, "Bill Evans" and "Bill Evans Trio", OR, "Miles Davis" and "Miles Davis Quintet". Would it be possible to ignore the suffix of the root artist? Personally, I would really like that...!

in LMS, it is possible to define articles to be excluded for alphabetical listing, such as "The, Le, La, Les, A, O, Os, Los, Las,...". Very useful. Please add this to the Innuos database system.
